During the spring of 2002, I developed a problem with the third molar from the rear on the left side of my jaw. What I thought was a cavity turned out to be a deep infection which has migrated to the tooth next to it. After a week on penicillin and two weeks currently on Cipro, I now face (my choice of) either root canal or extraction. Ouch!
